The Free Applicator Match sends one construction-chemical job (system, structure, size, location) to independent applicators who work with that system, free for the requester. The request also carries the credentials and the warranty type the requester wants, so each applicator reads the same six details before pricing the work.
The form covers seven systems and five structures, and it asks for no more than the six details listed below. Each request names one system from the construction chemicals range.
Standards, codes and regulations are checked against their issuing bodies, product values against the named data sheet and prices against the dated source named in the sentence; see our methodology and fact-checking.

What Does the Free Applicator Match Do?#
The Free Applicator Match covers seven systems: waterproofing, concrete repair, injection, slab lifting, flooring, fireproofing and sealants. The structures offered are basement, roof, parking structure, industrial floor and garage.
- waterproofing membranes and systems
- concrete repair products
- injection resins for concrete, including slab lifting resins
- resin and industrial floor coatings
- fireproofing types
- construction sealants
Which Job Details Does an Applicator Need to Price the Work?#
Applicators price a job from four details: system, structure, area in m² (ft²) or length in linear m (ft), and location. Area suits membranes, floors and coatings, while length suits joints and sealants. Both units are entered in metric with the US value beside it, so the same request reads correctly in either system.
The table lists every field of the form with its unit or options and the reason it is asked.
| Field | Options or unit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| System | waterproofing, concrete repair, injection, slab lifting, flooring, fireproofing, sealants | names the work the applicator prices |
| Structure | basement, roof, parking structure, industrial floor, garage | names the substrate and exposure |
| Size | area in m² (ft²) or length in linear m (ft) | gives the quantity the price covers |
| Location | project location | names the work site |
| Credentials held | ten labels, see the next section | lists the evidence the requester wants |
| Warranty type wanted | material, system, special (joint), contractor workmanship | names who stands behind the work |
Which Credentials Can the Request Ask For?#
The credential field lists three kinds of evidence: a person's certification (ICRI, ACI, CTEF), a firm's accreditation (UL Solutions program, FM 4991, NFCA CAP, AMPP QP) and a manufacturer's authorized-applicator letter. The form offers ten labels: ICRI CSRT, ACI Adhesive Anchor Installer, ACI Shotcreter, UL Solutions contractor program, FM 4991, NFCA CAP, CTEF CTI or ACT, AMPP QP, EU diisocyanate training and manufacturer authorized-applicator letter.
The table compares the ten labels by issuer, by whether they attach to a person or a firm, by system and by stated validity.
| Credential | Issuer | Person or firm | Systems | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ICRI CSRT | ICRI | person | QC/QA on concrete repair | 5 years |
| ACI Adhesive Anchor Installer | ACI | person | post-installed adhesive anchors | 5 years |
| ACI Shotcreter | ACI | person | wet-mix or dry-mix shotcrete | 5 years |
| UL Solutions contractor program | UL Solutions | firm | firestop and SFRM | annual audit |
| FM 4991 | FM Approvals | firm | firestop | audited |
| NFCA CAP | NFCA | firm | SFRM and IFRM | not stated |
| CTEF CTI or ACT | CTEF and the ACT sponsors | person | tile (CTI), tile modules (ACT) | not stated |
| AMPP QP | AMPP | firm | field preparation and coating of complex steel (QP1) | not stated |
| EU diisocyanate training | REACH Annex XVII entry 74, see diisocyanates rules | person | products with 0.1 % by weight or more diisocyanates | renewed at least every five years |
| Manufacturer authorized-applicator letter | the manufacturer | firm | that manufacturer's system | per programme |
The US has no third-party installer credential listed here for below-grade waterproofing or resin flooring, so those requests rely on the authorized-applicator letter and the warranty type. In the EU, REACH Annex XVII entry 74 (Regulation (EU) 2020/1149) requires training before industrial or professional use of products with 0.1 % by weight or more diisocyanates since 2023-08-24, and the label statement applies since 2022-02-24. The guide to construction chemical applicators covers applicator credentials in full.
Which Warranty Types Does the Request List?#
The warranty field lists four types, each backed by a different party: material, system, special (joint) and contractor workmanship.
- Material: the manufacturer replaces defective product or credits a pro-rated amount, as in the Carlisle CCW-500R 5-year warranty, where claims are made in writing within 30 days.
- System: the manufacturer repairs or replaces the listed products.
- Special (joint): the manufacturer and the installer repair or replace components that fail in materials or workmanship, for example 5 years from Substantial Completion in the University of Houston master specification 07 17 00.
- Contractor workmanship: the installer redoes the work.
A manufacturer's authorized-applicator status is a condition of some system or extended warranties, and Sika Sarnafil warranties rely on authorized applicators.
The warranty choice changes who answers a claim, because the manufacturer, the installer or both stand behind the work, so the request records the type before any price is compared. Terms, remedy caps and exclusions for roofing and below-grade systems are compared on the guide to waterproofing contractors.
What Happens After You Send the Applicator Request?#
The request goes to independent applicators who work with the chosen system, and no company pays for placement.
The form data stays in the site's own forms, with no analytics and no ad vendor. Form submissions are kept 24 months, and the controller is the publisher of ConstructionChemicals.net at editorial@constructionchemicals.net.
The privacy policy lists what is stored and for how long.
Where Does the Free Applicator Match Fit Among the Tools?#
The Free Applicator Match is one of the free construction-chemical tools, beside the supplier quote request and the calculators. The parent page for calculators and quote tools for construction chemicals lists all eight.
The match asks only for the six details above and offers no other field, so the request stays short enough for an applicator to read in one pass.
Does the Free Applicator Match Cost Anything?#
No: the Free Applicator Match costs the requester nothing, and no company pays for placement.
The disclosure under every button states both points.
Can the Same Job Go to Suppliers for a Material Quote?#
Yes: the same job can go to suppliers as a product specification. The form to request quotes from construction chemicals suppliers sends one specification to independent suppliers instead of job details to applicators.
