Contact ConstructionChemicals.net

The ConstructionChemicals.net editorial team takes error reports, source suggestions, press and data-use questions through one form and one address, editorial@constructionchemicals.net. Which channel fits a request, and what settles a disputed value? The body that issued a value settles it, from CEN and ASTM to EUR-Lex, SCAQMD and ECHA.

Quote requests go to two quote tools, never to the editorial inbox. The site covers 15 families of construction chemicals, from waterproofing to fireproofing.

Standards, codes and regulations are checked against their issuing bodies, product values against the named data sheet and prices against the dated source named in the sentence; see our methodology and fact-checking.

How Do I Contact the ConstructionChemicals.net Editorial Team?#

The editorial team is reached through the contact form below or by email to editorial@constructionchemicals.net; both go to the same inbox, and the form's topic menu routes each message. This page lists no telephone number or postal address. Table 1 shows the channel for each of the 5 request types.

Quote it word for word.
The value with its unit, and the source: standard with edition, rule with section and date, or the link.

Quote requests use the two tools described below, because the form's topic menu has no quote option.

How Do I Report an Error on a Product, Standard or Regulation Page?#

Report an error with the page URL, the value as published and the primary source that shows the correct value, because the editorial team corrects a value only against the issuing body's document. The issuing body of every standard the site covers is listed under construction chemicals standards.

What should an error report include?#

An error report needs 7 details, listed below.

  1. Paste the page URL.
  2. Quote the value as published, word for word.
  3. Give the correct value with its unit, metric first, such as 45 MPa (6,527 psi).
  4. Name the source: the standard with its full edition, the rule with its section and amendment date, or the EUR-Lex or eCFR link.
  5. Add, for a product value, the product name and the date of its declaration of performance (DoP) or technical data sheet (TDS).
  6. State the jurisdiction for a VOC or safety rule.
  7. Mention your role (specifier, applicator, supplier or other), optionally.

Which primary sources settle a disputed value?#

Each kind of value is settled by the body that issues it: CEN, ASTM, ANSI and TCNA, ICC-ES and UL for standards and listings, EUR-Lex, eCFR, SCAQMD, ECHA and OSHA for rules, and PubChem for substance identity. Table 2 pairs 11 kinds of value with their issuer and one dated example.

Kind of value Issuing body (cite from) Example as the site states it
EN product classes CEN (publisher catalogue) EN 1504-3:2005 R4: compressive strength at least 45 MPa (6,527 psi), bond at least 2.0 MPa (290 psi)
ASTM product classes ASTM store ASTM C881/C881M-20a classes by hardened concrete surface temperature: A below 4 °C (40 °F), B 4 to 15 °C (40 to 60 °F), C above 15 °C (60 °F)
Tile standards ANSI via TCNA ANSI A118.4-2023, A118.15-2023, A118.10-2023 (TCNA list 2026-09-10)
Anchor and fire listings ICC-ES; UL ICC-ES AC308 (24), published April 2025; UL 263 14th edition (revised 2025-09-02) with ASTM E119-26
EU law EUR-Lex Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 in force 2025-01-07, applies 2026-01-08
US federal rules eCFR EPA AIM, 40 CFR 59 subpart D (products made on or after 1999-09-13): floor coatings 400 g/L (3.34 lb/gal)
Air district VOC rules SCAQMD Rule 1168 (amended 2022-11-04): clear paintable immediately water-resistant sealant 250 g/L (2.09 lb/gal) since 2026-01-01
CLP classification ECHA Portland cement: No Annex VI entry; ECHA C&L notified classification: H315, H317, H318, H335; see the product SDS
Workplace limits OSHA (eCFR) 29 CFR 1926.1153: respirable crystalline silica PEL 50 µg/m³ (8-h TWA), action level 25 µg/m³, effective 2016-06-23
Substance identity PubChem (CAS), ECHA (EC) quartz (crystalline silica), CAS 14808-60-7
One product's value manufacturer DoP or TDS the named product only, as a typical value of that product, never a requirement

A newer official document beats the published value. A manufacturer TDS never beats a standard, because it describes only its own product. Sources are cited from the issuing body, never from an unauthorized copy of a standard.

What happens after an error is reported?#

The editorial team checks the report against the named source, corrects the value on every page that states it and dates the correction. How corrections are marked is set out in our editorial policy.

Five error types and their correct forms are listed below.

  • Superseded edition: an older ASTM edition stated as current, corrected to the current one, such as ASTM C881/C881M-20a.
  • CE edition vs CEN edition: EN 12004-1:2017 on a DoP, corrected to the CE-marking edition EN 12004:2007+A1:2012.
  • Unit conversion: a dew-point margin of "3 °F", corrected to 3 °C (5.4 °F) per ISO 8502-4:2017.
  • Coverage without basis: a bare "covers 100 ft²", corrected to 39.4 m²/L (1,604 ft²/US gal) at 25.4 µm (1 mil) DFT and 100 % volume solids, theoretical.
  • Superseded VOC limit: 380 g/L (3.17 lb/gal) for clear paintable sealant, corrected to 250 g/L (2.09 lb/gal) under SCAQMD Rule 1168 since 2026-01-01.

Can I Suggest a Source, a Standard Revision or a Missing Product Class?#

Suggestions are welcome for 4 things: a primary source we do not cite, a new edition or withdrawal of a standard, an amended VOC or safety rule, and a product class within the site's scope that has no page. The 4 suggestion types are listed below.

  • Source: an issuing body's document a page does not cite.
  • Standard revision: a new ASTM edition, a CEN revision or a withdrawal.
  • Rule change: an SCAQMD amendment or an EU implementing act under Regulation (EU) 2024/3110.
  • Product class: a product applied to protect, repair, join, bed, level, finish or fire-protect a structure.

Indian BIS standards are not covered yet. Dated rule changes are reported as construction chemicals news on standards and regulations.

How Do I Request Applicator or Supplier Quotes?#

Applicator and supplier quote requests go to two separate tools, the free applicator match for installation work and the supplier RFQ for products, because the editorial inbox does not pass on commercial requests. The applicator match takes the system, structure, area and country. We pass your request to independent applicators who work with this system.

The supplier RFQ takes the product class, standard, quantity and delivery country. Send one specification to independent suppliers.

Press, Data-Use and Advertising Inquiries#

Press, citation and data-use requests go to the editorial address with the topic "Press, data use or advertising". Values may be quoted with the page URL and the primary source the page names. No company pays for placement in editorial content, and paid listings, if any are added later, are marked sponsored. Market size appears only as dated analyst estimates by publisher, never as one figure.

What Does the Editorial Team Not Answer by Message?#

The editorial team does not answer emergencies, brand rankings, DIY or retail questions, local contractor searches or questions that belong to sibling sites.

Is the contact form for chemical exposures or site emergencies?#

No: for an exposure, follow section 4 of the product SDS and seek medical attention; call the local emergency number for a site emergency. The inbox gives no first-aid or medical advice.

Does ConstructionChemicals.net recommend brands or rank companies?#

No: brand questions are answered by standard compliance, for example what an EN 1504-3:2005 R4 claim requires and where to read it on the DoP. R4 requires at least 45 MPa (6,527 psi) compressive strength and 2.0 MPa (290 psi) bond; no company is ranked.

Are DIY, retail and local contractor questions answered?#

No: the site is written for specifiers, contractors and applicators and does not answer DIY tutorials, retail product questions or local contractor searches. Admixtures, SCMs and fibers belong to concreteadditives.net, cement additives to cementadditives.org, asphalt and blacktop sealers to asphaltadditives.net, and water chemistry to watertreatmentchemicals.net.

Who writes and checks the pages on ConstructionChemicals.net?#

Who runs the site is described under about ConstructionChemicals.net.

How is data sent through the contact form handled?#
